Sedation Dentistry

We specialize in working with patients who suffer from anxiety. Many people experience anxiety during dental treatment. We try to maintain a calm and relaxing office atmosphere, and we offer sedation dentistry to help patients stay calm during their appointment.

Oral Sedation

Oral anti-anxiety medication helps reduce anxiety to make you feel calm and relaxed during treatment. The medication produces a moderate sedative effect so you’ll be only partially aware of your treatment. As with any sedative, oral sedatives will leave you impaired and unable to drive so you’ll need to arrange transportation home from our office.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, has been used as a sedative in dentistry for over a century. It produces a mild, euphoric state of relaxation that wears off quickly after treatment. Nitrous oxide sedation won’t impair your ability to drive after your appointment.

Speak to your dentist or call our office to discuss sedation options.
